Value Line® suction cups offer PVC free alternative for carton erectors and simple grippers
Taby, Sweden – The suction cups in Piab’s Value Line® are proving popular with customers. The reason is simple: the cups make sense. Economically because they offer great value for the money, and environmentally, because they are made in a recyclable thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) material rather than environmentally troublesome polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Combining the characteristics of rubber and plastic, TPE is a strong and durable, yet pliable material that is gaining popularity as an alternative to PVC in numerous applications.
All Value Line® suction cups are made in TPE, making them more environmentally friendly and easy to recycle. Readily available globally, the cups have been carefully designed to suit standard applications for vacuum-based automated systems, and are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
The comprehensive Value Line® cup range comprises 21 suction cups in three different designs: flat-concave, bellows, and long bellows, each in seven different sizes ranging from 20 to 75mm in diameter. The abrasion resistant cups show good wear resistance, and a thin sealing lip combined with built-in level compensation provides a good grip even on slightly textured and corrugated surfaces.
The uniform, consistent, and cost-effective performance of the Value Line® cups makes them ideally suited for use in automated injection moulding systems as well as in case erecting machines. The flat-concave suction cups have a low build height and are easy to install onto gripper tools and robot arms. The competitively priced Value Line® cups are offered at discounted prices for large volumes.
The Value Line® products offer the low-end of the market what Piab has been delivering to its high-end customers for over 60 years – expertise, innovation, and global, uniform delivery and service. Today, the company serves both ends of the market with its premium cups and its range of more basic, standard cups.
