piFLOW®p and piFLOW®t vacuum conveyors are tailor-made to meet the demands of pharma producers.
Taby, Sweden – Piab’s specialised pharma conveyors piFLOW®p and piFLOW®t offer tailor-made solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. The piFLOW®p conveyor for powder and bulk materials and the dedicated tablet conveyor piFLOW®t are designed to perfectly match the stringent demands for operational safety and hygiene within the pharma industry.
Whether they are used to replace inadequate standard conveying equipment or labour intensive manual procedures, the state-of-the-art piFLOW®p and piFLOW®t vacuum conveyors will ensure greatly improved plant productivity. Made from materials that comply with the latest EU and US food/drug grade standards, Piab’s conveyors can be used to safely transport large volumes of either powder/bulk materials or tablets/capsules, and their advanced technology will guarantee segregation-free conveying.
Capable of transferring up to four million tablets per hour between processing units, such as tablet presses, coating drums and blister packaging lines, piFLOW®t has no sharp edges, making sure delicate tablets and capsules stay intact. Piab’s innovative, proprietary piGENTLE™ technology (patent pending) maintains a gentle flow of tablets or capsules by regulating the feed pressure of the pump, thus ensuring the safety of products.
Maximising the safety of the processing staff, both piFLOW®t and piFLOW®p are available in ATEX Dust and Gas approved designs, in which all plastic or rubber parts, including filters and seals, are made of antistatic nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR).
In addition, newly introduced secondary air filters ensure that no medically active ingredients can escape into the air in plants, guaranteeing a safe working environment. Piab’s sterile Ultra Low Penetration Air (ULPA, class U15-17) filters provide greater filtration than High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, and are offered as standard accessories for piFLOW®p and piFLOW®t.
Established in 1951, Piab designs innovative vacuum solutions that improve the energy-efficiency, productivity, and working environments of vacuum users around the world. As a reliable partner to many of the world's largest manufacturers, Piab develops and manufactures a complete line of vacuum pumps, vacuum accessories, vacuum conveyors and suction cups for a variety of automated material handling and factory automation processes.
