The weakest link in a vacuum conveyor will limit its productivity. Piab feed points will not.
Taby, Sweden – With an impressive range of feed point accessories, Piab can help clients to optimise their materials handling systems. Choosing the right feed point design for a specific application will ensure that the feed point is not the weakest link in the system, the one that will determine its productivity. Instead, Piab's feed point accessories are designed to optimise the performance of the company's vacuum conveyors, and its broad product range enables Piab to guide customers through a jungle of different applications and requirements. Here is a taster of what's on offer:
Suction pipes for piFLOW®i/f conveyors provide a lightweight and ergonomically correct solution for generally free flowing or granular materials. For more challenging materials such as non-free flowing powders and granules, Piab's feed nozzles for piFLOW®p/t conveyors offer a more tailored option as the air intake can be adjusted to achieve the optimum mixture of conveyed material and aspirated air. A dedicated feed pipe for tablets and other fragile products is available for the piFLOW®t tablet conveyor.
Piab's bag dump station for piFLOW®i/f is designed to increase productivity and guarantee a better working environment. With an internal volume of 100 litres (3.53 cubic feet), this small bag unloader is able to handle about four small bags simultaneously. A dust collector ensures that operators are not exposed to dust from conveyed products. An optimised feed adapter for optimal flow is also available.
Offering an optional fluidising function for non-free flowing materials, supported by two points for extra carrying air, the feed station for piFLOW®p/t can solve issues posed by bridging or otherwise challenging materials. A feed adapter with generic or Piab specific interface provides additional scope for adjustment.
Additionally, throughout Piab's range of feed point accessories, models that meet FDA and EC No 1935/2004 requirements are, of course, available.
Established in 1951, Piab designs innovative vacuum solutions that improve the energy-efficiency, productivity, and working environments of vacuum users around the world. As a reliable partner to many of the world's largest manufacturers, Piab develops and manufactures a complete line of vacuum pumps, vacuum accessories, vacuum conveyors and suction cups for a variety of automated material handling and factory automation processes. Piab utilizes COAX®, a completely new dimension in vacuum technology, in many of its original products and solutions. COAX® cartridges are smaller, more energy efficient and more reliable than conventional ejectors, and can be integrated directly into machinery. This allows for the design of a flexible, modular vacuum system. Piab's latest acquisition is Kenos vacuum gripping systems. Piab is a worldwide organization with subsidiaries and distributors in almost 70 countries. Its headquarters are in Sweden.
