Suction cup attachments are parts which make it easier to position the suction cup at the right spot on the object or give precise movement to the cup. These parts should be considered especially for objects with differing geometries. The ball-joints can, for instance, help to avoid bending stress on the suction cup when lifting heavy objects; suction cup extensions extend the cup to reach areas in cramped spaces or simply adjust the height of the cup to the proper level with a height adjuster. A retractable level-compensation cylinder allows level compensation with a pneumatically controlled stroke, which guarantees the position of the cup. It is possible to keep the cup in a “home” or “fully out” position. This is a useful feature in applications using vision cameras or to hide certain cups in “multiple part” handling/holding devices.
