Piab expands the BLFF range with new BLFF30 suction cups

As automation systems are expected to handle a growing variety of products, packaging materials and item shapes, the need for flexible yet stable gripping technology continues to increase. The new BLFF30 has been developed for compact multi-item picker designs where several suction cups may need to work closely together while maintaining reliable performance across mixed picking tasks. 
 
The BLFF30 combines a flexible lip with sturdy bellows, helping the cup adapt to different surfaces and object geometries while supporting stable handling in demanding automation environments. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including multi-item picking, top loading, end-of-line packaging, bin picking, warehouse automation, intralogistics and e-commerce fulfillment. 
 
To match different application needs, BLFF30 is available in two hardness versions. The Medium version is suited for a broad mix of challenging items, offering a balanced combination of flexibility and stability. The Hard version is intended for applications involving heavier items, higher accelerations, higher flow or deeper vacuum levels. 
 
Typical object and packaging types include cardboard boxes, paper bags, plastic bags, wrapped products, small consumer goods, rigid items, deformable items, porous materials and irregularly shaped objects. This versatility helps automation designers manage diverse product flows with fewer changes to the gripping setup. 
 
The BLFF30 cups are made from recyclable TPE, supporting easier material handling at end of life. Optional accessories, including a filter and piSAVE Sense valve integration via the filter housing, can also be used to support specific system configurations. 
 
With the addition of BLFF30, Piab strengthens the BLFF range for modern logistics and intralogistics environments, offering a compact suction cup option for flexible, reliable and efficient automated picking.
