Piab Group’s European Supply Unit Relocates to Modern Facility in Butzbach
After 13 years in the current location, Piab Group’s European Supply Unit (ESU) is relocating to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Butzbach, Germany. This move marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and enhanced customer service.
Expanding Our Capacity
To improve our service to customers and support Piab’s continuing growth path, we are expanding from 2100 square meters to 4000 square meters. This will allow us to streamline our workflow and logistic processes as well as improve inventory management. The low energy building will help us to reduce energy by 30-50%.
Introducing Advanced Automation
A key highlight of our new ESU is the implementation of the AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). AutoStore is a cutting-edge, high-density robotics solution that optimizes warehouse operations by maximizing storage capacity and enabling faster, more accurate order fulfillment.
