Piab launches new BXP mini ESD suction cups in Ø6 and Ø8 mm
Piab is expanding its modular BXP range with new antistatic BXP mini ESD suction cups in 6 and 8 mm, available in both 1.5- and 2.5-bellows designs. These new sizes combine the proven performance of the BXP family with the integrated ESD protection technology of the BXP ESD series – an optimal solution for handling sensitive battery, fuel cell and electronic components in increasingly compact production environments.
The new BXP mini cups are specifically designed to lift uneven and porous materials, such as cardboard and packaging, while at the same time protecting sensitive components from harmful electrostatic discharge (ESD). This is enabled by ESD DURAFLEX®, a semi-conductive polyurethane that combines the elasticity of rubber with the wear resistance of polyurethane, while allowing safe grounding of the lifted objects. The result is a mark-free, safe and reliable grip – even in demanding processes.
Just like the rest of the BXP family, the new Ø6 mm and Ø8 mm BXP mini cups are part of a modular system. They are available in 1.5- and 2.5-bellows configurations, providing excellent ability to compensate for level differences and uneven surfaces in the application. The new mini cups come in 60 shore hardness, optimized to ensure the right balance between grip, flexibility and service life. For seamless integration with existing equipment, they are available with suitable threaded ESD fittings, ensuring conductivity and making it easy to adapt the solution to different machines and robots.
The integrated ESD function is developed to replace or complement external antistatic equipment, which often requires additional space, installation work and maintenance, and may restrict machine movement. By moving the ESD protection directly into the suction cup, Piab simplifies both design and maintenance while enhancing safety and quality in the handling process.
The new BXP mini ESD suction cups in Ø6 and Ø8 mm are now available to configure and order on piab.com, complementing the existing BXP range with a compact, flexible and future-proof solution for modern battery, fuel cell and electronics production.
