Selection guide for Suction cups
Metric   Imperial

Oily sheet metal

Special designed friction cups for oily surfaces, such as sheets in metal forming processes. Thanks to the strong grip on oily surfaces, the suction cups can withstand high shear forces, typically 2–4 times more than corresponding conventional suction cups.

DCF - Deep Concave Friction (65–110 mm)
The DCF design is suitable for flat, convex or concave surfaces, e.g., such as those encountered when handling metal sheets in later stages of a press line. The suction cups have a thin design that easily follows the curved metal sheet.

BFF - Bellows Flat Friction (30–110 mm)
The BFF design is suitable for uneven/curved surfaces or if level compensation is needed, for example in de-stacking applications.

OBF - Oval Bellows Friction (35x90–65x170 mm)
The OBF design is suitable for oblong objects with domed and flat surfaces, such as those encountered with body parts in the automotive industry.

FCF - Flat Concave Friction (25–125 mm)
The FCF design is suitable for oily surfaces, slightly domed and flat surfaces, e.g., such as those encountered when handling metal sheets in press lines. The suction cups have support cleats that prevent thin objects from being disfigured.

OCF - Oval Concave Friction (20x80–40x110 mm)
The OCF design is suitable for oblong objects with slightly domed and flat surfaces, such as those encountered with body parts in the automotive industry.

BFFT - Bellows Flat Friction for thin-sheets (50–90 mm)
The BFFT design is the best choice for very thin metal sheets (0.6 - 0.8 mm) to avoid risk for dents. The cups work great on flat and uneven/curved surfaces or if level compensation is needed, for example in de-stacking applications.
