Steady growth in one of the world’s largest automation markets.
Taby, Sweden – Piab is stepping up its presence in China in a bid to broaden the company's offer of proprietary smart solutions for automated applications in an expanding Chinese market. Having almost doubled the number of staff in the past two years, Piab has recently opened a new and bigger Chinese head office, benefitting from a more central location in Shanghai.
With China on course to becoming the world's single largest market for automation and robotics, Piab is expanding its investment in the country and adopting a more outgoing and aggressive marketing strategy for its products for automation.
A 35 person strong team is continuing to build on the successful inroads the automation technology company has already made since 2006, when Piab first established itself in China. Focus is to more effectively convey the Piab message of combined energy-efficiency, productivity and good working environments.
"So far, we have had most success in packaging and processing industries, but we also see strong growth within automotive and electronics industries. Piab's automation solutions are selling because of the value they offer and the future advantages," says Jeffrey Zhou, Managing Director of Piab's operations in China.
"China is a strategically very important market, and we are enjoying very strong growth in all our product segments.
