Global sales excellence manager

To support the further expansion of our business, we are now inviting a seasoned leader to join our team.

Piab manufactures components, based on vacuum and gripping technology, for industrial automation and material handling machinery. The products are based on innovative solutions that improve the energy-efficiency, productivity, and working environments of vacuum users around the world. These products are used by customers principally for automation, material handling and Manual Handling, but also for other areas of usage in a wide variety of industries in gripping, lifting and holding applications.


To support the further expansion of our business, we are now inviting a seasoned leader to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to one of the Regional Directors, this is a significant leadership position where you will play a key role in establishing, sustaining and developing our Sales Excellence Process (SEP) and use of CRM as standard work across PIAB's sales teams globally.

One of the key responsibilities is to drive and assure close collaboration with regional
managers and country managers for training & coaching as well as challenging the use and further development of the Sales Excellence Process (SEP).

You will be responsible for:

  • Actively Supporting Sales Growth - reflected in improvement of specific KPIs e.g. funnel targets, number of calls per sales person, use of pre-call plans & account plans, sales development with new customers plus growth in existing customer accounts
  • Sustainable implementation of Sales Excellence process and tools across all sales teams
  • Leading the global Salesforce steering group
  • Develop and grow a "Sales Excellence Super Users" team, identify Sales Excellence Champions per Region
  • Create & implement a Sales 'Handbook' i.e. how we achieve sales in PIAB based on best practice
  • Identify skills gaps & opportunities within Sales organization & implement improvement plans
  • Identify sales activity best practice & share between sub-regions
  • Engage sales teams and sales managers in use of SEP methodology & use of CRM to support all Sales activity
  • Develop and improve channel management skills and process.
  • Develop knowledge and competency in complex selling and strategic account management.

You will set up vision and goals and formulate expectations accordingly. You will be leading, training and supporting the sales team to comply with the sales process.


  • University degree
  • Experience in sales process and use of CRM (
  • Effective engaging communication and leadership style
  • Experience of senior sales leadership roles working across different cultures with proven results
  • Ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency of written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of other languages a plus
  • Moderate to extensive global travel required
