Unibody conveyors – UC series

The UC conveyors are designed for customers with high needs of a vacuum conveyor with high hygienic standard, as the pharmaceutical and food industry. To make it easier to clean and to validate the cleaning process, the body of the conveyor is made in one piece and has no joints in the product contact zone. It is made of ASTM 316L steel and the surface is at least Ra 0.4. There are several types of filters and sealings to optimize the vacuum conveyor, and different control systems can be chosen. Capacity up to 5 ton/h and product particle size down to 0.5 µ.

The UC conveyor fulfils GMP, FDA, 3-A, ATEX dust and gas. The conveyor is made of traceable material with full documentation. There are also IQ/OQ documentation packages specially made for the pharmaceutical industry.

Standard configurations

The unibody conveyor is available in some standard configurations with different filter option, sealing materials, inlet devices and control functions.

Feed point

It is important to optimize the feed point (where the product is conveyed from) for the conveying system to assure maximum capacity and safe transport. There are several types of feed points:

Piping

To complete the conveying system Piab offers stainless steel pipe bends, hoses of food grade, pipe couplings, different types of pipe fittings, pipeline emptying units, injection valves, pinch valves and many other solutions.

Control units

There are several ways to control the vacuum conveyor. All of the control units are fully pneumatic with timers. It is also possible to add a level detector and other options to the control unit.

Accessories

If the application, for example, requires that the exhaust air is led into the ventilation system to avoid any particles from the conveyed products leaking out in the surrounding environment, a central exhaust can be fitted to the pump.If there is a need to decrease the noise level, there is an option with a free-flow silencer.
