Decurler

The paper sheet is smoothed down in the drying process at the end of the printing press. The decurler is therefore generally equipped with a vacuum pump attached to a suction chamber that is in turn connected to a smoothing notch. The processed paper sheets are drawn over the smoothing notch with the unprinted side of the sheets facing the smoothing notch so that when vacuum is drawn, the paper sheet is smoothed down without affecting the printing.

Advantages with Piab
